We also develop specific basic engineering projects for modifications, repairs and retrofitting of equipment on ships already in service, being specialized in the installation of Alfa Laval equipment, of which Aries is the representative in Spain.

With more than 45 years of experience in the Naval sector, Aries offers high quality and excellent results in the execution of its projects, thus being able to successfully face all the different projects that our clients request from us.

PROJECTS

CONCEPTUAL PROJECT: OCEANIC OCEANOGRAPHIC RESEARCH VESSEL

Aries developed the conceptual design of an oceanic ship, in other words, a ship capable of carrying out campaigns in all seas. Designed to replace the B/O Cornide de Saavedra of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO). A ship of technological excellence, and prepared for a great variety of scientific works in the best habitability conditions for its occupants.

  • Basic engineering: shape design, stability calculations, calm water and wave channel testing, …
  • Technical specification.
  • General arrangement.
  • Scientific equipment definition and disposition.
  • R+D+i. Improvement of results in transducers avoiding bubbles trajectories.
  • R+D+i. No spillage station for sampling.
  • Use of alternative and ecological energies.
  • In general, the design engineering to make the new Cornide of Saavedra, a world reference in oceanography.

SHIP-DOOR PROJECT FOR NAVANTIA

Integral design and complete engineering of the ship-door for the closing of the dry dock of the shipyard. It is a mobile and ballastable structure for the closing of the dock.

  • Stability calculation.
  • Hydrostatic curves.
  • Calculation and capacity plan.
  • Weight estimates.
  • Load situations.
  • Probes.
  • Structure design.
  • Forms design.
  • Technical specification.
  • Approval plans.
